Wu-k'ung,the Monkey King,decided to teach the monkeys to defend themselves.First he drilled the monkeys with wooden swords and bamboo spears,but soon he realized that they needed real weapons.Wu-k'ung then raided a city near the mountain and brought back an arsenal of weapons.
