Lin Ch'ung took out then more ounces of silver and the letter from Ch'ai Chin.He asked the guard to bring them to the prison warden.The guard said,"The letter from Great Lord Ch'ai Chin is as valuable as a piece of gold here.I will bring it to the warden.Later, when you are called for the flogging,just say that you have been ill all the way here and have not recovered completely yet.Then I will help you."Lin Ch'ung thanked the guard for his advice.
