Mr.Ch'en Tsai-liang,a well-read and experienced instructor nearing sixty,recommended by the prefectural collage,was engaged to be the tutor for Li-niang.But Mr. Ch'en had doubts about the result of his teaching,for he did not know the proper way to do deal with a girl pupil of delicate upbringing,to say nothing of the Prefect's daughter.Since Prefect Tu had sent him an invitation,he had no choice but to accept and went to the prefectural office.
