The following day early in the morning,Spring Fragrance went to the back garden and told the gardener's boy that their young mistress was going out to enjoy the garden and he must clear the paths.Then she went to the study and said:"Master Ch'en,the young mistress wants to take a stroll in the garden for fear that spring will pass her by."The old scholar was very annoyed at hearing this:"Sping Fragrance,I,your teacher,nearing sixty,have never paid attention to all my life to the coming and going of spring or thought of such things as a spring outing!"
