Tu Li-niang then told the scholar how she had dreamed a strange dream after her stroll in the garden,in which she had fallen in love with him at first sight;how she had died for love of him;how her spirit had been searching for him;and how her love had moved Heaven,and so she had gained permission in the nether world to resume her dream."It is not difficult to make me return to life,"said Li-niang."You have only to open my grave with a pickaxe,and you will find me not dead but alive!"
