*1.5 c. red bean paste
Skin:
* 3 c. glutinous rice powder
*0.5 c. sugar
*1 c. water
*1 c. white sesame seeds
* oil
Method:
1. Filling: Divide red bean
paste into 20 portions.
2. Skin: Mix rice powder,
sugar, and water until
sugar is dissolved. Add
glutinous rice flour to
rice powder, sugar, water
and knead into a smooth
dough. Roll the dough
into a long roll and cut
it into 20 pieces.
3. Flatten a piece of dough
into a 2-inch concave
dough. Place a portion
of filling in center and
gather the edges of the
dough to enclose the
filling; pinch to seal.
Roll the filled dough
into a smooth ball; dip
lightly in water, remove
and coat with sesame
seeds. Make the other
balls in the same manner.
4. Heat oil; deep-fry dough
balls over medium heat
for 5 minutes until
expanded and golden.
Remove drain, and serve.
