A native of Changzhou,JiangSu province,was a painter of the Ming dynasty.His original second name was Chun, style name was Daofu,later changed second name to Daofu,and style name to Fupu, Baiyang shanren by sobriquet. He excelled in painting flowers, in a free and natural taste,called "Qingteng, Baiyang" together with Xu Wei,in the later period. He was also talented in painting landscapes,calligraphy and poetry,once learned from Wen Zhenming.
