Wenjin by style name,Jing'an and Yuquan shanren by sobriquets,a native of Hangzhou,ZheJiang province,was a painter of the Ming dynasty. He excelled in painting landscapes,human figures, flower-and-bird, locust-and-grass. He learned landscape-painting style of Ma Yuan and Xia Gui, utilizing opulent brushstrokes,in a loof taste. His paintings did great effect in the middle of the Ming dynasty,being the predecessor of "The Zhe Style".
