A native of She county, Anhui province, Muqian by style name, Gou daoren by sobriquet,was a painter of the Qing dynasty. He excelled in painting landscapes, enjoyed using dry and dark brushstrokes, creating a pure and profound taste. He was also skilled in seal cutting, calligraphy, poetry and prose.
