A native of Kunshan, JiangSu province,was a painter of the Qing dynasty. His style name was Banqian, Yeyi, Cai Zhangren and Banmu by sobriquets. He was one of "The Eight Sects of Jinling", lived in the Qingliang Mountain in Nanjing, skilled in painting landscapes, following the style of Dong Yuan and Wu Zhen. He was also talented in calligraphy, poetry and prose.
