A native of Ganquan, JiangSu province,was a painter of the Qing dynasty. His style name was Dunfu,and Liangfeng, Yiyun, Huazhi shiseng, Xiniu shanren by sobriquets. He called his study "Zhu Cao poetry Forest", studying under Jin Nong, being one of "The Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou". He excelled in painting landscapes, human figures, Buddhist statues and fruit-and-vegetable, especially in painting plums, chrysanthemums, pines and bamboo. He was also good at poetry and prose.
