A native of Renhe, ZheJiang province,was a painter of the Qing dynasty. His original second name was Yu, Shumei by style name, Songhu, Songhu Xiaoyin and Hegong by sobriquets. He loved travelling, and made his footprints all over China. He excelled in painting landscapes,learned the style from Wen Zhenming, Wen Boren and Wang Meng,using brush-strokes in interesting way. He was also talented in painting human figures and flowers.
