The painter in the Qing Dynasty,a native of Changsu, JiangSu province.His style name was Yu Shan and his sobriquets were Mojing Daoren,etc. He was a Catholic and had done missionary work for thirty years in Shanghai area. He studied sutra under Chen Hu, studied poem under Qian Qianyi and studied paintings under Wang Shimin and Wang Jian.Following the style of Huang Gongwang and Wang Meng,his landscapes paintings executed dry strokes and light colors with his own style.He was called as the Six Great Masters in the early Qing Dynasty with Wang Shimin, Wang Jian, Wang Hui, Wang Yuanqi and Yun Shouping.
