::Zhao Zhiqian

A native of Shaoxing, ZheJiang province.His style name was Yi Fu and his sobriquets were Tie Shan,etc.He was talented in prose and calligraphy. After studying and the calligraphy style of Yan Zhenqing and studying the seal cutting style of Deng Shiru,he created his own style conforming to no conventional pattern. He was also excelled in painting flowers following the style of Shi Tao,and he was honored as the father of free painting of flowers in the later Qing Dynasty. Referring to the seal cutting style of Zhe school literati,Wan school literati, etc., he synthesized the merit of others and created his own style which executed with great momentum.
