His style name was Yao Shu.He was an official.First he studied painting under Diao Guangen, later he referred the style of Sun Wei and Li Cheng and created his own style.His paintings usually expressed flower and bird in court, which executed meticulous strokes with realism.His style was called as "Noble Style of Huang" and gave considerable influent to later painters. His son,Huang Ju Cai and Huang Jubao,were also talented in painting.
