A native of Xiushui,JiangXi province. His style name was Lu Zhi and his sobriquet was valley Taoist monk.His formal script followed the style of essay "ill crane" and his running script followed the style of "Lan Ting Xu". After obtaining the calligraphy works of Zhang Xu and Huai Su,he grasped the key of calligraphy and created his own style,he was honored as the Four Great Masters in Song Dynasty with Su Shi,Mi Fu and Cai Xiang.
