The painter in the northern Song Dynasty, a native of Shu county,Anhui province.His style name was Bishi and his sobriquet was Longmian Jushi.He passed a civil recruitment examination with distinction and then became an official,later he resigned for his illness.He had closen contact with Su Shi, Huang Tingjian and Mi Fu.He was talented in painting Taoist and Buddhist figures which were commented in their realism.His paintings style was called as "Outline Drawing" and gave considerable influence to later painters.
