::Ouyang Xun

A native of Changsha, HuNan province.His style name was Xin Ben.He was a high official.He was very intelligent and was conversant with things past and present.He was talented in all kind of script, especially formal script and running script.After studying the style of Two Wang,he synthesized the merit of the calligraphy in former Dynasties and created his own style.His calligraphy executed profound and steep strokes with meticulous composition.He was honored as the Four Great Masters in early Tang Dynasty with Yu Shinan,Chu Suiliang and Liu Gongquan. He was also honored as great masters of "Ou Yan Chu Liu" with Yan Zhenqing,Chu Suiliang and Liu Gongquan.
