It is located in Ren-Min road in Suzhou city.It's constructed in Qing dynasty between the years of Tong-Zhi and Guang-Xu emperors;so it's built later than other gardens among the Suzhou's gardening.It absorbed the advantages of every garden in Suzhou's gardening.The layout of the garden is exquisite and elegant,though it is small.The whole garden is a reappearance of the ideal state of Chinese mountain-Water painting in the stereo-space.The main building in the garden is Ou-Xiang Xie (The house with lotus-root's fragrance)which is located in the west part of the garden and in the south of the pond.The main hall and court-yard in the east part is Poxianqin Guan and Baishi Xuan standing face to face in south and north.It is well-known as four things too much,namely lake-stone,horizonal tablet or couplet,animal,and white skin's pine.There are more then a hundred pieces of calligraphic stones by Wang Xizhi,Huaisu,Mi Fu and etc.In the past ages was treasure set in pavilion-wall in the east part,which called Yi Yuan's calligraphic model.It is more addition to cultural connotation for the garden and it is also to make garden's character once more.
