::He Yuan

The other name is Jixiao villa.It is located at the south-east side of the Yangzhou city proper.Originally it was an old site of Shuanghuai Yuan in the period of Qianlong Emperor in Qing Dynasty.In the late middle part,19 century,it was constructed in expansion by a ministry,(Dao Tai)--equal to minister of subprovincial administrative region--He Zhidao,the name of the garden was nominated by his surname.It was one of the names of the garden nominated by his surname.It is one of the late but the most completed gardens in yangzhou city.It melts the sino-western building's art in a furnace and it is divided into two gardens,namely in the front and in the back garden.The front is jixiao villa and the back is Bianshi villa.The gardens are both established three halls respectively.The formal hall Xichun is a combined structure of Chinese and western styles,which is the most completed and splend hall made by the "Nan" wood (a kind of hard wood),in existence Yangzhou.The north of the pond is Hudie Ting(Butterflying hall)and the layout is together with calligraphy,painting and wood.Bianshi villa was built with rare wood which has been keepping until today since Ming age.
