It is a port at the mouth of the Qiantang River in Hangzhou Bay and at the southern end of the Grand Canal(the longest waterway in the world connecting HangZhou with Beijing).Scenic Xi Hu (West Lake), with many ancient shrines and monasteries, is here,in ZheJiang Province.
