GuangDong is a province in the south of China.It has an area of 1977,100 sq km and a population of about 86,420,000. The climate of this area is subtropical humid, so it produces rice,sugarcane,and fruit as well. Becides,it is rich in fish partly because of the South sea. What's more,many rare metals are mined here,such as tungsten. Guangzhou,the capital, is the larggest city of the province. And it is the chief port in this area. Since the reform policy was made, GuangDong has benefited a lot and it attracts the investment of foreigh countries. In 19th century,it played an important role in trade,and many people of the province went to the outside world for gold rushes. The other major cities are Zhongshan,Shenzhen,Shantou and Jiujiang. In the last few years,the development of economy in the province has increased greatly and it has played a leading role in China.
